Typically taught during summer sessions, Workshop in Computer Music is a broad introduction to creating and manipulating digital audio and video using computer software and hardware devices. As a workshop, the course requires students to build, experiment, perform, and create a final project that illustrates key principles learned in the course.

The course focuses on computer music, encompassing the generation, recording, editing, and processing of digital audio and video. Students will be introduced to software applications and programming environments including Ableton Live, VDMX, Processing, and MAX/ MSP/ Jitter.
